Which order should I watch the Star Wars movies?

Prequels first, then A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi? Or should they be watched in order of their theatrical release?

If I choose the first option, where would Episode VII be in that sequence when it comes out?

If you must watch the miserable prequels, watch them after the original trilogy. They may come first chronologically, but all the exposition is in the originals. Nobody watching Episode I first is going to have any idea what the Force or a Jedi is since none of it's ever explained.

No idea about Episode VII.

One thing is sure, if you watch the prequels first, the original trilogy is gonna blow your mind, if you do the opposite, you're gonna be decieved.

I go in chronological order, but skip episodes 1 and 2 (ie. 3,4,5,6). I would recommend going in chronological order, but feel free to skip the prequels if you like, or just watch the action scenes, because with the exception of action, the prequels are universally regarded as inferior to the originals. Hope this helps.
