Hi there! I'd just like to share some theories about the new Star Wars movie and by 'theory', I mean guess.

Kylo Ren is Luke Skywalker. He's training the fellow he met in the woods and they were about to spar. Kylo makes reference to, "I'll finish your work.". Maybe it was Luke saying to his father, "I'll finish the work of protecting the galaxy from evil before you turned to a Sith Lord. Or Luke has gone dark side and became Kylo Ren, his Sith Lord name. "Kylo" could mean something else in Sith terms. Luke's been doing some bad things, that's why Leia is crying in Han's arms.

Well, I can put your theory to rest. Kylo Ren is not Luke Skywalker, he is played by a different actor and JJ Abrams has already given out some information about the character that completely kill that theory. There has been some speculation by Star Wars fans though that he might be Luke Skywalker's son and therefore Darth Vader's grandson. It's most likely that he's a follower of the Sith religion and so reveres Darth Vader although it has been confirmed that he's not a Sith Lord.

Just curious, what info would that be?

The fact that Kylo Ren is part of a group called the the "Knights of Ren", which is apparently a group that worship the Sith and use the dark side of the force though he himself is not a Sith because the Sith have been gone since the death of Darth Vader and the Emperor Palpatine. The other thing that tells us that Kylo Ren is not Luke is that he's working on the side of the remnants of the Empire, now called "The First Order" whereas Luke was one of the rebels and is in hiding.
