1. Deep Space Nine
2. seasons 3 and 4 of Enterprise
3. The Next Generation
4. Voyager
5. seasons 1 and 2 of Enterprise

In general, I just prefer serialized shows more than episodic shows.

TNG, for sure. I was too young to have seen ToS when it first aired, so TNG was 'my' Star Trek. I appreciated the story arcs that got integrated in to DS9 and Voyager (whereas TnG was almost exclusively episodic, and in terms of story-arc I liked Babylon 5 more than DS9 or Voyager, and felt that B5 really pioneered the story-arc) but DS9 was never one that I watched regularly, Voyager less so, and can say I haven't seen a single episode of Enterprise.

I like all of the series, each of them have their pros and cons. I voted for TNG as it was the first one I saw, so I am simply more familiar with it than the others. I also believe that TNG is the most consistent in quality; any given season has its fair share of notably good episodes. In contrast, the first few seasons of DS9 were a snore-fest for me, and even when things finally started to heat up you still had to put up with the occasional silly, pointless Ferengi filler episode (I can't stand those). I haven't actually seen Enterprise, I have seen some very mixed opinions about it.

I only know about the Original and Next Generation series, but they sound like the best to me.

1. Voyager (far better than the others IMO, even lightyears above second place)

2. Next Generation

Watched some of TOS and DS9, didn't care for any of them. I haven't seen Enterprise or The Animated Series.

I voted Voyager, but have to say the original series nearly got my vote as it was so radical when it first came out, amazing at the time whereas these days such things are ten a penny.

As for Deep Space Nine, I cannot understand how anybody could like that, as far as I could tell, they never actually went anywhere?, to me it seemed more like CROSSROADS in space, ( a rubbish British soap opera).

I like the crew from the original better, the Kirk-Spock-McCoy dynamic made the show.

I like Picard from TNG, but his crew is too lame for words.

Enterprise was a really good show, out of all the series, it's the most believable. Plus there's a sense of excitement throughout because this crew is poking around the galaxy for the first time. They also had excellent character dynamics, I'll probably catch a lot of hell for saying this, but I think Enterprise was the best series.

They went places all the time. Usually via the Defiant, which was a warship prototype developed for an expected Borg Invasion. That was the ship that Worf was on at the beginning of First Contact.

DS9 is best viewed as the latter half of TNG. DS9 started half way through TNG's run, and we got a lot of resolutions for storylines in DS9 that were started on the other show. We also got Chief O'brien's family, who were secondary characters on TNG, becoming permanent on DS9. The same with Worf, who jumped over to DS9 as a permanent cast member at the beginning of season 4. Thus making Worf the most well developed character in all the shows.

DS9 was more serialized than any other series with long running story arcs usually involving an enemy civilization ruled by shapeshifters. One time half the permanent cast members were abducted and replaced by shapeshifters, but we didn't find out that the characters we were following were fakes until several episodes after the event.

Finally someone voted for Voyager! I have always liked Voyager, it wasn't perfect mainly because it had so much potential that they just ignored (eg. having Maquis in the crew, plus characters such as Tuvok, Harry Kim, Chakotay who were not developed at all when they could have been so easily), but TNG and Voyager are the ones that I watch the most regularly.

I think TOS and DS9 are the least accessible star treks,

TOS because it is so dated now (not just in terms of the technology and effects, but also the campiness, the general writing style and the dialogue that is pretty dated), to today's teenagers it looks completely ridiculous. I still like it and I appreciate how revolutionary it was in its day, but I don't re-watch it as often as TNG and Voyager.

The problem with DS9 is that it took way too long for the Dominion arc to kick off. The defiant wasn't introduced until well into the series' run. Many fans I have seen consider the last couple of seasons of DS9 to be the best that Star Trek has to offer, but not everyone makes it that far. If I re-watch it I don't watch anything pre-season 4. It's a real shame too, because DS9 does some very good things, I especially like how they confronted the subject of religion and it's role in a technologically advanced society head-on, and made that the main theme of the show.

For me the top 3 are DS9, TNG, and Enterprise. The first two are pretty obvious but I feel so many, including myself gave Enterprise a harder time when it was airing than it deserved. It gave us a realistic look at early days on Trek space exploration as well as the Vulcans.

DS9 had some of the most recognizable and relatable characters as well as benefitting from avoiding the whole negative space wedgie plot device much better than the other shows leaving it to deal with a more complex, interwoven narrative. Add to this how nearly all of the characters grew and matured in some significant way compared to the plateaus that character's tended to reach in the other Treks and it's not hard to see why many people love DS9.

That isn't to say the other series don't have their awesome moments too. I love me some Enterprise despite how many people think it's utter trash.
