RECOMMENDATIONS: New TV show needed

I recently finished both "The Office" and "Parks and Recreation" and can't seem to find another television series that is similar to the shows. I was hoping someone here has a recommendation that has characters similar to those found in the series listed above.

Sliders. A light hearted science fiction about four "sliders" who jump between parallel earths. Set in early 90s.

Star trek the next generation. Lots of likable characters e.g data and interesting storylines.

Babylon 5 interesting 3 dimensional characters and good story arcs

You're probably aware that The Office is based on a British series made by Rickey Gervais and Stephen Merchant, but Gervais has several other shows that are also pretty good. My favorite, aside from The Office, was Life's Too Short. It's another pseudo documentary series, this time following Warwick Davis (ROTJ, Willow) playing an exaggerated version of himself who runs an acting agency for Dwarf's.

I am currently watching the eighth episode from the first season of "Better Call Saul". It lacks the intensity and brutality of "Breaking Bad", but it's still worth watching if you are a fan of the series.

Incidentally, the main character, Saul, is eerily reminiscent of a gentleman I met last year, both in appearance and character. The fellow with whom I met was trying to employ me as an IT apprentice for his firm. He seemed like an intelligent and charismatic chap, yet I suspected that he rehearsed his lines about his company multiple times in the mirror. Perhaps I am just a cynical bastard but it's hard for me to fathom that someone could be quite so enthusiastic about solar power.
