Well... Sort of. You see...

When I was talking with my Mum about not wanting anything spoiled for me before I saw the film, my brother randomly said "Han Solo dies," and I didn't believe it because my brother is very unreliable when it comes to things like this. I thought he might have been lying. He kept on insisting that it was true, that he heard about it on the internet (Which is full of spoilers). Then when that scene happened when I saw the film, I was like, "He's gonna kill him, isn't he?" So, I sort of saw it coming, but I think I still might have even if my brother hadn't said that.

I think I did. Sort of. I mean I heard rumours it was coming for one of the originals. While I did like the movie I will admit it was predictable at times. I mean it was kinda repeating moments from the original wasn't it. I think it might be a bit overrated as a lot of people are praising it too much. I mean 94% on Rotten Tomatoes and 8.5/10 on IMDB. I mean I've seen better movies with lower ratings.

Since I could tell it was copying A New Hope page for page half an hour in, I knew exactly what was going to happen in the film, and I was right.

I took some time yesterday to listen to a few of the rants about it on YouTube. Many good points were made. I think they should have called it something else and given it a different aesthetic then they could have "told an old story in a new way". But since it's Star Wars repeating Star Wars it's kind of....boring? I mean, I liked it visually. But after I realize all the inconsistencies from the rest of the Star Wars universe, I can't not think about them. So, I guess it's more humorous at this point. Or something. I'd love to be able to watch A New Hope on the big screen. That would be tight. Since I'm too young to have ever seen it on the big screen.
