OK, so no one really gives a care about movies that were never filmed at all. This article is a list of films that were never filmed at all, some for reasons that made us happy that they were never filmed, some not so much.
Do you agree with this list?

Spiderman... i would have rather have seen another Tobey Maquire...rather than that dumb Andrew Garfield version.
I do look forward to seeing Spidy in the newest Captain American movie.
Gump and Co... that would have been interesting to see. And do it in the same flashback formula like the first movie. And in the end, they could have had it that the company is saved and Gump passes it on to Gump Jr.

Gump & Co.
In several interviews, Tom Hanks and director Robert Zemeckis stated that they didn't see the need for a sequel, but in Winston Groom's book, Forrest states that he didn't want the first movie to be made, but in a scene at the Academy Awards, Forrest meets Tom Hanks.
Spider-Man 4
IMO, had this been filmed, it could have skipped ahead several years where Peter and Mary Jane are married, but their marriage becomes difficult because Peter chooses fighting crime over his marriage.
Batman: Year One
From what I have read, had this been filmed, it would have depicted Bruce living in hiding in a run-down cabin living off of the land because everyone in Gotham knows that he is Batman. Alfred goes looking for Bruce and tells him that he has to be Batman again to fight the increase crime rate in Gotham.
Shrek 5
Am I the only one who is glad Dreamworks didn't give this the green-light?
Here is a similar article about movies that came close to being filmed that people still want to see.

X-Men Origins: Magneto
IMO, I think Fox didn't want to take another risk after X-Men Origins: Wolverine flopped.
Napoleon
Stanley Kubrick sure would have made another great movie, but many articles, recent and not recent, have stated that Kubrick's film might become a mini-series in the near future.
At The Mountains Of Madness
This has been often described as Guillermo Del Toro's passion project, so do you think this should be a movie, even though Prometheus was similar?
Conversations With Vincent
Directed by Tim Burton, this was a documentary in which Burton interviews one of his main influences on his career, actor Vincent Price. Price passed before the documentary was finished and the film rights were very hard to obtain.
Newt
Like many, I wish Pixar gave this the green-light over Cars 2 and Cars 3.

While promoting Saving Mr. Banks in 2013, Tom Hanks stated in many interviews that another reason why he didn't want to do a Forrest Gump sequel was in part that 9/11 made the story irrelevant.
