The Sith are Dark Side types. The Jedi are the Good Guys.

Darth Vader is my favourite character in the entire franchise. But despite saying that I would have to say that I like the jedi.

Umm, @dwoolridge, which planet?

Overall, I think I like the Jedi better, but there is one Sith that is one of my favorite SW characters: Jacen Solo, AKA Darth Caedus.

I didn't really read the whole wiki page on Darth Caedus because I have problem reading long sentences. But the jist is he is Leia and Han's son. I wouldn't have known that because I am one of those Star Wars fans that do not read the books. Aside from the 6 movies the only other Star Wars stuff I see are the 2 Clone Wars cartoons.

Sith. If you've ever played KOTOR you know how irritating it is to be on the light side. Jedis give away money, they refuse rewards, you're always too broke to buy better weapons, your force powers suck, and you overall have it harder.

Being dark side you kill everyone, steal all their s**t, abuse your force persuasion to get discounts on everything, you can kill 20-30+ enemies in 3 seconds. Everything is better on the dark side, even the robes are better!

Only problem with the Sith is that they are self destructive, it may be that they just get to uncontrolled, but the Sith who did have control are probably best. It is like Comparing Darth Revan to Darth Malak, Malak would just destroy everything, While Revan was selective and much better, others I could point out are Traya and Sidious, although I think Sidious later started to slip into destroy everthing,.

It depends on how you define best? Most powerful? You would be working off of an individual basis, so you might say "let's have Darth Nihl vs Master Vrook." Then you get into arguments about time periods and different powers and so on. Very hard to ever end those arguments.

Even then, you would have to think of the different kinds. Do you mean the Sith operating under the Rule of Two started by Darth Bane including Darth Sidious and Vader or do you mean Darth Krayt's One Sith or Lord Kaan's Brotherhood of Darkness or Revan's Sith empire or the original Jedi exiles named after the Sith species? And there are more than that. Then the Jedi; you have the the Old Jedi order, the New Jedi Order, the New Jedi Order operating under the philosophy they used from after the Yuuzhan Vong war had finished (and ended not long after)? You get the picture . . .

If you mean which one I think is best . . . Generally I prefer the Jedi. I like their philosophies more than I do the Sith, though the Sith aren't always hell bent on destroying the Jedi/ forming Empires. Darth Vectivus did none of that, though he wasn't viewed highly. The Sith are interesting, and what the One Sith are doing is the best thing going for them at the moment, but I always eventually want to Jedi to win.

Well, those are game mechanics. It's been noted that if you go dark side in KOTOR I you're acting more like a thug than an actual SIth, though Sith are more likely to do those things than Jedi.

Yeah. Also known as Jacen Solo. They had three children. Be careful when reading Wookieepedia, if you read too much you have it spoiled for you as they only put spoiler warnings on things for one month before taking them off. Caedus' story is told in the Legacy of the Force books if you want to know more.

It's actually shown in Dark Empire that Palpatine wants complete, individual control over the galaxy. No governors, no machines. Just him and the dark side of the Force. Everyone was to be little more than a slave for him to draw power off of, likes batteries. He wanted to take what he did on Byss (the Force slave thing) and apply it to the whole galaxy. So yes, he did slip. Though it's probably just the real Palpatine coming out, not his sanity slipping.

Gray Jedi. They're the middle ground between the two, but they are usually leaning torwards the light side. I think that in some ways, the Jedi Order can be evil. Examples are Jolee Bindo, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Nico Tyris.

Oh yes Gray Jedo are cool, I think they see more compared to the light or dark sides, I personaly could listen to Jolee Bindo all day, even if he says that he says he is completly boreig.

He is kind of on the good side, but he gives food for thought on Jedi like the Jedi master who grew blind and was too proud, or my favourite one about the "chosen one" Jedi great things indeed. Pluss Wookies thought he was one of their gods and ended up knocking him out.

Yeah, I was always sad when he stopped talking. His stories were always amusing.
