2 new muppet movies in the works:

* the muppets hear that their old tv studio is being demolished and stage a telethon to save it
* the story of jim henson and his personal "monsters" - written by an australian screenwriter too, one of the hottest unproduced scripts in hollywood

Oh! Oh! Me! Me me me!! :D *puts hand up in the air and waves it wildly* The Muppets rock! Or at least they do on the Youtube Videos of when Jim Henson was alive, anyway. :) I grew up with the Muppet Show and Sesame Street and Fraggle Rock. I also remember a short but really cool TV series called The Jim Henson Hour that was made shortly before the death of the Great Muppeter. :cry: After that it's just isn't the same anymore. I feel that the MS Mupppets have now become too "adult" and the SS Muppets have become too "pre-school". Sigh... :(

I'm in total agreement over the Sesame Street Muppets becoming "pre-school." I can watch classic Sesame Street on Youtube and still be entertained, but I can't stand the new stuff. That and the conversion to the Church of Elmo.

I love the Muppets, and have done since I was but a wee child.

Plus, now that they've done a cover of Bohemian Rhapsody, of all things... as far as I'm concerned, they just can't get any cooler :)

I am a huge fan of the Muppets. In fact it is a current obsession. I have spent the past two days watching the old seasons. I can't wait for the next Muppets movie.
