My favorite captain was Jean-Luc Picard for his commanding ability, and Johnathan Archer for empathy to others.

Picard and Kirk. Then again, I've only seen the Original series and the Next Generation series.

Benjamin Sisko (Avery Brooks) and that un-named Romulan Commander in the TOS episode "Balance of Terror" (Mark Leonard)

I would also add Commodore Matt Decker from TOS "The Doomsday Machine."

Though DS9 (Sisko's show) is my favourite I would definitely pick Picard as number one and maybe either Kirk or Sisko as my second.

And what do you think, about Johnathan Archer, thus i like Picard more, but i like Archer too because he is very kind heart
