Marvel's Luke Cage on Netflix

Has anyone seen this new series yet? It stars Mike Colter as the bulletproof, superstrong Harlem superhero from the comics. Others in the cast are Simon Missick as Misty Knight, Mahershala Ali as Cottonmouth, Alfre Woodard as Black Mariah, and Theo Rossi as Shades.

I thought it was pretty cool. Up to this point I hadn't been interested in checking out any of the Marvel Netflix shows, but now I'd really like to catch up on Jessica Jones and Daredevil.
There's a lot of great acting talent involved in Luke Cage, and I was mostly interested in the underworld politics of the villainous characters. Ali and Woodard were doing an amazing job in that department. The setting and the music were also really nice. We get musical guests like Raphael Saadiq and Faith Evans. Wasn't that impressed with Colter, but he did what he could and carried through to the end. The supporting cast was fine, though. Lots of nice nods to the comic books and also some cool original characters made for the series. I'd rate it an 8 out of 10.

I've watched Jessica Jones, which I love.

I also got started on the second series of Daredevil, but watch these shows with my husband and we ran out of time when we could both watch at the same time, so we stopped about four episodes into Season 2 and can't get back to it. Can't start Luke Cage until we finish Daredevil, but I will get to it eventually.

Jessica Jones is definitely worth a watch. Personally not enjoying Daredevil quite as much, but I think that's the lack of an easy-to-follow 'bad guy'. Too much going on, for me.

Jessica Jones is a really unique show, like a psychological thriller and comic all in one. Daredevil is very cool. I like the politics, and as a blind person, it's cool to have a blind superhero. I'm going to check out Luke's show if you all say the villain politics are good.

I'm 6 episodes in and am enjoying it.
