Have you "miss-, missed- missed me?!?" your regular dose of Moriarty? Or, are you more inclined to miss Sherlock, the Watsons and Mrs. Hudson? Is Mycroft the glue that holds your attention?

Which Wrong Planetians are SHER-LOCKED about deerstalker caps?

Come out, come out, wherever you are, and announce your New Year's Day viewing intentions.

I have been counting down the days until I am reunited with Sherlock. It has been a painful break.

I have been waiting. Maybe we'll get some answers and I wonder what villain they will do next? I don't know much besides Moriarty and the 'Napoleon of Blackmail'. Who else is there?

I'm excited, but with all that's going on, I keep forgetting about it!

I'm crazy about it but can't remember where it'll be shown. Netflix? Or something else I don't have? I'll just have to be patient then.

In the United Kingdom, it will be broadcast on BBC One ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b018ttws ). In the United States, it will be broadcast on PBS ( http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/masterpiece/sherlock/ ). I believe that, eventually, BBC America, Netflix and Hulu would probably broadcast the series, but that could take a while.

Yeah, well, it'll be that much more fun when I finally get to watch it.

Sherlock got me out of a funk and got me to start enjoying tv again. I wish there could be more shows like that.

Exactly. I like how it is one of those programs which relies on audience thoughtful attention, not simply absorbing the "skits."

Well, THAT season (series) was an offensive bust! Most Amazon.com reviewers have been critical of the season since it was broadcast, swearing off the idea of buying the disks.

So, what went wrong for the Sherlock franchise?

I suspect, as some have suggested, that production egos stood in the way of the original mystery format giving it a substitution of gore and grime. It didn't help matters that the seasons are spaced farther and farther apart. Well, at least I can always re-watch the early seasons with their sense of reason and logic, not "video-game mayhem."

Personally, I had mixed opinions of this series.

The first episode I hated. The second I absolutely loved - it felt like it was going back to 'Old Sherlock'. And the third, whilst it seemed to lose the way again, did keep me interested.

Had they all been like the second episode, I would have been very happy. But, I feel the focus was too much on relationships - Mary ruined the show, for me, and had far too much attention on her this series.

I feel like the show started as a fascinating and well-thought out series, but then went over-complicated and was cheapened, in the same way that a lot of these shows do. I absolutely love Sherlock and Watson, but everyone else has been brought into the story too much, and it lost its focus.

Indeed. Between Mary-as-Ninja, Mycroft-as-fat-suit-comic-relief, Mrs. Hudson as sports-car-driving-house-keeper and Sherlock as slightly more-than-addicted-for-who-knows-WHAT-reason, I couldn't have ably described Season Four to anyone who hadn't seen it. I would end up appearing to be a raving lunatic.

Seems that I amn't the only one criticizing the franchise ( http://www.vox.com/culture/2017/1/18/14 ... plot-holes ).
