...Was it ever explicitly stated on Bewitched that Samantha was centuries old ?
I kind of inferred (If that,s the word !
) that , IIRC , but it wasn't quite stated?? As it was for Endora??

I loved it, and remember being fascind by how it was almost exactly the same as "I Dream of Jeannie". A man lives with a woman who can do magic and tries to keep her from doing it, but she does magic anyway (usually to help him) and hijinks ensue. They even did the same trick where the lead actress played her own "naughty" relative by wearing a black wig! I remember being very frustrated by the women not being allowed to be their true selves, and pretending to be "normal" for the privilege of loving a man.

RIP to Doctor Bombay, my favorite character.
I got the impression that Samantha was just trying out living in the mortal way as a mortal woman. She legitimately seemed to enjoy the housekeeping tasks, perhaps she found them quaint or something like that. I mean, she has lived for centuries, so maybe she just wanted to try things differently. But she was ambivalent, especially when it came to forcing her husband's rules on her family. Still, the conflict added to the comedy of the show.[/quote]
