Are you not de-sensitized to some modern television?

Do anybody here even under 30 or 40 years old tend not to be de-sensitized or otherwise have some kind of aversion to modern forms of media? As in modern, I mean in the last 10-15 years. This may only apply to certain contexts (I am more desensitized to sexual media than I am to violent/graphic images).

The other night, my sister and mom tuned into the series finale of "Grey's Anatomy" which they never really paid attention to. I was traumatized by the final scene (even though "traumatized" might be a little too strong), but my mom and sister thought I was kind of weird. Do you think this can be even normal for someone on the spectrum? I mean, I first saw the horror movie "Gremlins" when I was in middle school, but I'm okay about it.

Another issue is that I completely isolated myself from modern TV made within the last years, besides the occasional animated episode like "Family Guy" (which I actually enjoy). Maybe this can also be a social skills problem itself.

Of course, I could be insane about this, and overthinking it.

What is really desensitizing on TV is CourtTV, History Channel, Fox News, and CNN.
