Even if you don't watch movies very much and with Bridge Of Spies now in theaters, which real-life events would you want to see as movies?

Now that we know Deep Throat was FBI higher up Mark Felt, I'd like to see a retelling of the of the exposure of the Watergate scandal from Felt's perspective, rather than from just Woodward and Bernstein.

Any story about any infamously historical, yet non-violent crimes in America.

I've always thought there should be a movie about Malala----and now, there IS: "He Named Me Malala"!

The obvious one for this site, a movie adaptation of Neurotribes.

An incident just days following Germany's surrender in WWII. The SS were going to carry out their order to execute prisoners held in a castle, when not only American soldiers and local resistance fighters came to the defense of the prisoners, but also incredibly enough, German Wermacht soldiers.

I really enjoyed Argo, Masterminds, and The Men Who Stare At Goats, so more like those, please.

the film version of The Men Who Stare At Goats bears pretty much no resemblance to the book. the film Argo, insofar as I know about the backstory, bears not that much resemblance to real events. Argo, the fake film, only exists in the screenplay. in real life, the CIA's plan originated from a failed big budget film adaptation of a Roger Zelazny sf novel called Lord of Light. I do not know what else they changed, but they must have changed a lot. I think that they must have foregrounded the CIA protagonist character, for instance.

Masterminds I haven't heard of.

I would like to see a movie made about Denis Istomin's life.
