Acting and screenwriting

Would you rather want to or try being an actor or screenwriter? For me, acting for sure, but not as confident about screenwriting maybe. I think I might be decent with acting if I got trained well and at least a little bit of luck securing an "official" role, not a very huge A-list role, but I mean something I can just achieve.

For me, screenwriting because if I chose acting, I don't know if I would be able to cope with fame very well.

You don't have to have fame here.

Don't seem you need to be competent to write screenplays in Hollywood nowadays; at least not when it come to make coherent plots.

I think my username suggests what I would do, though I do enjoy writing.

Being an actor doesn't necessarily mean that you will have paparazzi following you everywhere, nor does it mean that you will be waiting tables for a career while "saying" you are an actor.

There are plenty of working actors out there who are making a good living with their craft that aren't necessarily known by the masses like Brad Pitt or Sandra Bullock are.
