I've begun watching Pokémon on Netflix for the first time in 15 years, and liking it, so I've been curious about the animated movies because most of them are not on Netflix and I want to watch them in chronological order. All I know about this is that they use CGI effects unlike the show and that they always cost more to make. What I want to know is are they worth watching?

I think they are. Some of them are (or at least have been) available on YouTube. Why not just try one? :)

Better to watch them in the original Japanese with fansubs, particularly the first one because of the changes in the story and that the international distributor cut the best part.

Didn't the Blu-Ray or DVD of the first one restore the original opening? I swear that this has already been done.
