Does avengers 3 have bad battle strategies?

I was watching the wakandans and realized they don't seem to know how to use long range weapons or bottle neck the enemy effectively.

I blew that off as they've never fought outsiders before but then realized those are tactics dating back to the days when long bows decided the outcomes of conflicts.

It then hit me it's not just the wakandans either.

Not one of the avengers thought to launch missiles, bombs, or energy weapons directly at the entrance 80% of the enemy was pouring in through.

Am I wrong or is this bad film making in an otherwise good movie?
