Anybody like The Tudors?

They were a pretty cool and cruel family.

Was there any royal family throughout history that was not full of cruel and viscous backstabbing schemers?



I love Natalie Dormer as Anne Boleyn. She essentially the same kind of character as Margaery Tyrell from Game of Thrones.

We watched it a few months ago. It was a decent show. The characters were all flawed to varying degrees and that's the way real life is.

That was one of the strangest endings to a show I've ever seen

Sometimes the show feels like a porno though... I wish they didn't focus so much on the sex. Keep it classy!

If I had to compare the four most prominent women of the Tudor Clan to playing cards it would go like this:

Queen of Hearts: Mary ♥
Queen of Diamonds: Elizabeth ♦
Queen of Clubs: Catherine of Aragon ♣
Queen of Spades: Anne Boleyn ♠

Watched it a few years ago and wasn't very impressed quite honestly. I think the following productions are classier experiences, if you can still obtain them:

I have very mixed feelings about that show. The legacy of the Tudor dynasty is not something that I feel benefits from taking historical liberties, and the show takes plenty. There’s already so much intriguing material to work with from true history with that family, that a lot of the changes don’t make a great deal of sense. If they were trying to make the plot juicier, I think they would have benefitted from taking as few historical liberties as possible. But that’s just my opinion.

The costumes are stunning, though! And I adore Natalie Dormer.
