I mean WOW, has anyone else watched it?

I love it so far, this journalist guy from New Zealand goes around the world exploring the darker tourist destinations as well as just some weird cultural activities. I mean its a little bit morbid but it really is kind of eye opening. Seems like a good show if you want to explore some odd things and also have a bit of self reflection like wondering where exactly you stand on the things shown or talked about in the show.

I would not be surprised if there is some controversy like I have never seen a show quite like it...so I wonder if its gotten any bad publicity. Like 'this guy goes to far with is investigations' or whatever.

There was the show Destination Truth before this so I don't real see it being a big deal.

Watched the first episode. Won't watch the others, for now, because I'm not sure how dark it gets and my current mood won't be helped by dark. Perhaps later. If you liked him, the same guy did a thing called "Tickled", also on Netflix. At first, and a for a while, you'll probably think "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?", but give it some time.

Never heard of that one. And perhaps its not a big deal, I just thought it was a pretty cool eye opening show...I am kind of interested in sociology type things so its a good show for me. I took a sociology class in college and well I didn't get anywhere with college but I still find the topic of human behavior and such interesting. I just wish I could find a way to channel that and make everyone care about global warming.

I can understand that for sure. I mean I have PTSD from a traumatic event and sometimes I need to take a break from darker things. It certainly sucks some because I have always been one to read about anything and everything and not be phased so much by the darker content even am interested in darker things. But since the PTSD its like I have to be more careful how much I expose myself to because overdoing it makes the symptoms worse.

But at the time I found the show I was feeling alright to watch it, and it doesn't get like too morbidly dark..I mean I would almost say one of the darkest parts was the first episode where he interviewed Pablo Escobar's hit man. But either way I get the need to distance yourself from the darkness if you are in a sensitive state mental health wise.
