I liked it. It wasn't a perfect Star Wars movie, but good enough nonetheless.

I heard Mark Hamill didn't like how Luke was portrayed in this movie compared to how he was left at the end of Return of the Jedi.

While it was no The Empire Strikes Back, or Rogue One, it was still a decent enough chapter of the Star Wars saga.

Yes, I couldn't help but see both Empire and Return in this one. I wonder what they are going to do with IX.

Seconded.

I particularly liked the interplay between Rose Tico and Finn -- two reluctant heroes caught up by circumstance and forming a relationship in the midst of a shooting war. Casting Kelly Marie Tran as Rose was a stroke of genius. While the Daisy Ridley character gracefully danced and backflipped her way across the screen like a hyper-driven ballerina, Ms. Tran gave a more believable performance as someone who is a fully capable of both compassion and combativeness.

I liked Kelly Marie Tran's performance as well. The movie isn't perfect, but has some great scenes, such as the stampeding Fathiers.

I love it. Not because it's the greatest movie ever but it has lots of elements that work for me. Especially porgs. I love porgs. And old Luke is far more better than the young Luke.

The worst Star Wars Movie of all. The prequels were just boring. But this just used special effects to cover up a badly written story, they ruined Luke Skywalker, had annoying token characters, and a big Mary Sue. They compromised continuity and rationality for excessive SJW ideas. The Last Jedi is my last Star Wars. The actor Mark Hamill deserves better treatment and respect.

I thought it was worth watching. I hope to be around to see a few more of them.

As compared to The Phantom Menace, wherein the Congress of the Republic endlessly debated the Crisis at Naboo?

Irrelevant. SW:TLJ was not a prequel.

And this differs from other Star Wars episodes in what way?

The character was old, discouraged, and had spent many years alone on an island on a backwater world somewhere beyond the hinterrealms of the galaxy, and completely out of contact with other humans. How did you expect him to act?

They're called "Co-Stars" and "Extras". Standard for any movie.

Which female character was the Mary Sue? Keep in mind that a male "Mary Sue" is more appropriately refered to as a "Harry Lou" or similar moniker.
MannyBoo wrote:

Star Wars has featured many "SJW" ideas like freedom, individual rights, due process, and so forth throughout the entire franchise. How does SW:TLJ differ from the rest of the episodes?

I'll alert the Media.

Than which other actor or actors? Remember, his character is not truly "dead", but only "one with the force". He will likely return in future episodes.
