Oooh I remember seeing Dagon on the SciFi channel!

It reminded me of horror games with Cthlhu-esh cults lile Siren and Resident Evil 4.

I also like House on Haunted Hill. :skull:

I’m such a coward when it comes to horror movies!

I won’t go any scarier (or much more recent) than Psycho.

Psycho is a good horror classic! :) I don't think it's an indie though.

"Psycho" is very "mainstream."

What about the original House on Haunted Hill? :skull:

It isn’t indie. I was just illustrating the maximum amount of scary I can handle.

I’ve never watched an indie horror film.

If you prefer non-violent stuff in the style of Psycho, I recomment movies like black and white indie classics like Night of the Living Dead, Carnival of Souls, Nosferatu, House on Haunted Hill, and Dementia 13. :)

I’ll have to check them out. I need to start expanding my horizons a bit.

Scanners, Videodrome, and Existenz, all of which were directed by David Cronenberg.

@ Sister Twilight Princess: If you do decide to watch Scanners, do brace yourself for the
infamous "exploding head" scene. It's considered one of the most iconic horror movie scenes of all time on the same level as the "shower scene" from Psycho and could easily give you nightmares.

Thanks! I’ll keep that in mind.

Point of interest: Dagon, the movie, had actually been based on a Lovecraft story called, The Shadow Over Innsmouth, though Lovecraft had also written a story named Dagon.

There are some videos on You-Tube that explain how the "exploding head" scene was pulled off, so again if you decide to watch Scanners, watch some videos about it beforehand.
