They are remaking Pet Cemetery.

It's already out and it's also incredibly bad, both compared to the book and the old movie.

I watched it this weekend and I liked it.

The original had a better cemetery location, and actor who played Jud Crandall was better.

The Gage of the remake was better than the original, the original was a brat even before he was an evil dead.

I liked the mother a bit better in the remake, but she's not the most likable in either.

I liked the things they changed (who died and why, and how it went from there.)
Very different from the original, almost like another story with the same basic idea. I dig both these movies.

I enjoyed the remake. Perhaps the criticism to me on that opinion would be that I have not seen the original movie, but I have in general seen many horror movies.

I found it mediocre. I haven't read the book or seen any other version so I don't really have anything to compare this one to.
