I'm 31 and prefer kids' films. I mean a certain kind of quality family film.

Because:
1 they tend to be better produced aesthetically, whichever medium they choose to use
2 they have fantasy elements without being too confusing about it and expecting a high level of understanding
3 they don't expect you to have a high level of what the social norms are
4 they're not hugely sexualised
5 overall they just feel more creative
6 they tend to have the 'it's good to be different' message in them
7 they are more varied aesthetically for eg CGI, claymatian, cartoons etc
8 they're often based on books

Anyone else think this or have other reasons for why an aspie adult would prefer it?

And it's not about being stupid, either. My favourite movies for adults include things like Inception.

Anyway Christmas is a great time for them. So far today I've watched/am watching: Toy Story, The Borrowers, The BFG

I certainly retain a fondness for them. Many of them are pretty damn good and frankly I feel like I need the more lighthearted stuff sometimes. I don't really watch them exclusively though - I watch a pretty good mix of everything.
