Yeah, I thought so.
Some other things I liked (spoiler alert, if you haven't watched it yet):
The sixties vibe, like the decor of the house and the clothes.
Beth's ability to project the chess board in her mind onto the ceiling top play out games was cool, and seemed to me like an autistic savant skill.
It seemed to me there was an underlying theme of how far one should go, or how much one should sacrifice, to achieve a goal. Or maybe it was the connection between childhood trauma and a need for achievement, that sense of needing to win. I can't explain it well, but I do enjoy a bit of existential angst.
For a sensitive soul like me, it was great to have an upbeat ending after all the pain that went before. Very satisfying.
