I don't know about the rest of you, but I love me a good Super Bowl commercial. So, what was your favorite from this years crop? Was it the Jason Alexander hoodie one from Tide? The Drake from State Farm one? The GM one where Will Ferrell is mad that Norway has more electronic vehicles per capita than the US? I'm personally fond of the Fiverr ad featuring the Four Seasons Total Landscaping in Philadelphia. The Doritos 3D one was downright creepy, though.

Thoughts? Opinions?

I have seen lots of super bowl memes in the last couple of days... unsure what comes from where though.

I liked the commercial about the Paralympic swimmer who had to have both lower legs amputated when she was a young girl.

And the imagery showed her swimming through ordinary places and in a sense swimming through life. And the pool is where she felt ordinary and in the solid flow of life (this last part I think from an article which quoted her).

Sometimes a news story about a person with a disability is too goody two-shoes and safe and timid. People who view the story think they’re being worked and played, and they resist it.

All the same, this commercial worked pretty well, at least it did for me. :D

Yes, it was a neat story.

And in the brief art which told it — almost like a movie preview — I think they pulled that off, too.
