I have seen a lot of Godzilla vs Kong memes on meme videos recently. A good one from yesterday was:
What everyone thinks will happen: shows one of the two defeated
What will actually happen: shows the 'tie' screen from Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort

My money's on the guy that can breathe freakin' RADIOACTIVE FIRE!

You might have noticed that even the title doesn't call Kong "King". There's only one King of the Monsters!

If I could afford HBO Max (and if any theaters in Portland reopen) when this opens, I will watch this.

But for now, I will look up old Godzilla and/or King Kong movies to watch online.

Hollywood logic means they will tie. Unless they subvert that.

I heard the only reason they made Kong so large in Kong: Skull Island was specifically because they were planning for this Godzilla Vs. Kong movie. You know they already did a King Kong Vs. Godzilla flick back in the 60s? So if you're really itching for it, that's always an option during the wait. Which I'm only aware of because of Lindsay Ellis' Loose Canon episode on King Kong.

If Legendary will be losing the rights to either character soon, the one they're keeping might win.

If we go by popularity, Godzilla wins, hands down. The popularity of Godzilla makes it extremely unlikely that Kong would win.
