I started watching the Muppet Show on Disney+. The show only lasted 5 seasons, mostly because they broke into movies and couldn't feasibly do both. But what if they were able to do both? What if they kept it going? How do you think future episodes would've worked, assuming that it lasted until Jim Henson's death.
For this post, think of a celebrity or fictional character who was never on the show and tell us what you think would happen.
To start, here's an idea for George Carlin, a comedian best known for a routine about words that were forbidden on television.
He'd spend the whole episode trying to see how much he could get past the censors. This would increasingly frustrate both Kermit and Sam the Eagle. Eventually Sam shouts "Mr. Carlin, there are children present!" George Carlin panics and looks in the audience for children. "Why the *bleep* would they watch me?" he says before walking out.

Celebrities Who Should Have Been On The Muppets

• The cast of Star Trek (TOS) encountering the crew of the Swinetrek in a Pigs In Space episode.

• Michael Jackson, who tries to teach everyone to "moonwalk"; but they all end up saying only "Woo-Hoo" instead.

• HAL-9000, which calls everyone "Dave" and tries to prevent each Muppet from carrying out its specific mission.

• Dr. Who.  He (or she) tries to "rescue" everyone, but only succeeds in making everything worse.
