Why is Michael Keaton in the second section? He played Batman all the way back in 1989.

And you forgot Christian Bale will be Gorr the God Butcher in Thor: Blood and Thunder.

This used to bug me. Particularly when an actor plays a lead Marvel superhero and a lead DC superhero, like Ben Affleck. But not so much if they play a minor or supporting character on one side of the fence. It was really annoying when the same actor played two different superheroes for Marvel, like Chris Evans. But I've come to accept Evans as Captain America and even Affleck as Batman, it isn't that bad after all. Turns out that my brain doesn't actually fixate on the whole "but that's the Human Torch" thing as much I thought it would when I'm actually watching the movies. So if the actor does their job well it really doesn't matter, especially after I got used to it.

I don't think it really counts if an actor voiced a CGI character like Nathan Fillion. And it certainly doesn't count if someone just did motion capture for a CGI character.

And here are some actors who played a Marvel character outside of the MCU and another inside it:

Chris Evans.
Michael B. Jordan.
Josh Brolin.

And a very special category for JK Simmons, the only actor to play the same character both inside and outside of the MCU. (That is unless we count all Stan Lee cameos as the same character)

Is it just me, or does getting cast as the Human Torch lead to getting cast in the MCU? Sounds like it might be a good career move.

The Tim Burton Batman movies are not canon to the DCEU but somehow his version of Batman will appear in the upcoming Flash movie.

Its the multiverse. This was explained in the CW Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover. It made all live action DC properties canon.
