Full Metal Alchemist 2003 was incredibly good, it pretty much squats most of the animes I have seen. Everything about it was good, except ending movie was lousy, and a lack of Ed X Winry relationship.
It was far more realistic then FMA; Brotherhood from 2009, which was really s**t in my opinion. I really could not relate in anyway whatsoever, to why people like it so much. I really hated it.
In my opinion, they should make a similar anime to 2003, with all the same characters, but with a far higher emphasis on realism, an inter war theme, set in a country like germany, politics, a "Dante" figure, King Bradley etc.

Shadows House is so good! The anime has some original stuff in it but but the manga original and adaptation are great. I wish it was more popular!

Live action One Piece is more or less my introduction to the story. (I've seen a few episodes a few years back, but not enough to know what's what in the series.)

I have a bad habit of starting a show and then stopping it to watch something else.

I too have never seen One Piece.

Could never get into Naruto.

Feel like while there's still lots of good anime, there's also a tidal wave of generic recycled garbage.

Some english voice acting / dubbing is so terrible, I watch the subtitle version.

I don't enjoy Ghibli movies and would totally understand why people from older generations who were only exposed to Ghibli never got into or cared about anime.

I enjoy very few Ghibli movies, but I also understand by they're not a good introduction to anime. The reason I like Ghibli movies and the reasons I like anime are completely different.

I like shorter anime, and I don't like gore.

Out of the old big three, I consider Bleach to be better than Naruto.

The live action has been very well-received by the fandom. They made major changes to how some events play out, but the overall plot is about the same. The casting has been superb and they perfectly captured the spirit of the character and the series as a whole.

- I genuinely do not give two damns about any of the big popular shonen series that so many Western anime fans treat as just synonymous with the concept of 'anime' as a whole.

- Despite being a fan of Macross, I actually really enjoy Robotech as well (despite me highly disliking Harmony Gold for the now-settled legal issues they were involved in over the international rights to Macross that resulted in pretty much nothing relating to Macross outside of the OG series, Macross II, and Macross Plus being able to be released outside Japan for years)

I prefer the dubbed and rebooted versions of Voltron to the anime they were inspired by, Beast King Go Lion and Dairugger XV.
