Code Geass (This one is probably my absolute favorite if I had to pick), Highschool of the Dead, Death Note, Sword Art Online, Deadman Wonderland.

...Naruto. There. I said it. I don't enjoy reading it, the story is becoming increasingly filled with plot holes and general BS of late, but I have to see what happens after years of watching/reading the manga. I spent the better portion of one winter break a few years back watching up to the time skip on DVD. If only for that reason I will continue on.

My favourite would probably be Kanon (2006), it might be from the fact it was my first romantic comedy with tragedy elements (and moe), but I really like it, I think I really found my ni he when I found this series. The Clannad series is also good.

Princess Mononoke, Spirited away, Howl´s moving castle. All by the phenomenal Hayao Miyazaki.

Oh yes, I jump around from favorite to favorite depending on the mood I'm in. Right now it's One Piece. (I kind of have a crush on Emporio Ivankov)

Others include:
Sailor Moon
Yu Yu Hakusho
Yu-Gi-Oh (and all spinoffs)
Rave Master
Cyborg 009
Pokemon
Hunter X Hunter
Beyblade Metal Fusion (and Metal Masters)
Black Butler
Hetalia
Soul Eater

...Do the Hiyao Miyazaki films count?

The original Guyver is a great sci-fi/superhero series. Robotech is an amazing epic.

Blood-c, I don't care that it has senseless violence that allows no time for you to attain a connection with the character before they're swallowed alive. I really love the protagonist's apathy towards her friends deaths, usually it'd be quite the contrary with annoying cliche moral speeches that consume episodes upon episodes. Probably my favorite part about this anime is that it doesn't have a happy ending, instead it leaves you with a somewhat indifferent and void feeling accompanied by a philosophical question that will leave you pondering for quite sometime. To be exact the question and the whole ideal of the anime was "Influence versus Ethology" what wins when put in a situation with given variables, I put it vaguely as to not reveal any spoilers of this masterpiece.

While I'm at it, add Clannad to Honorable Mentions.
