Marriages and relationships!! !
On the cartoon series "The Fairly OddParents" I made a shocking discovery regarding Cosmo and Wanda
I believe if Plankton and Karen from SpongeBob SquarePants accurately represent abusive marriages then Cosmo and Wanda represent neuro-typical and neuro-divergent marriages!
Perhaps if Stephen Hillenburg was trying to send a message about abusive relationships with SpongeBob then Butch Hartman was trying to send a message about disability representation with FOP?
And WHY would Nickelodeon have such heavy adult subject matter in their cartoons to begin with?!?
Do you agree?
Thanks in advance!! !
I think that there are four main versions of Wanda and Cosmo.
There's the Pilot episode, where Cosmo has more charm to him and Wanda is a bit absent minded. They both compliment each other well as they're different but similar.
Then there's the dynamic from the early seasons. Cosmo is an idiot who means well and Wanda finds him endearing.
Unfortunately, this changes in the later seasons. Cosmo acts like he hates and is scared of Wanda. Meanwhile, Wanda finds Cosmo incredibly annoying to the point where it doesn't make any sense why the two don't just get a divorce.
Finally, in the latest version, a new wish, Cosmo and Wanda actually have quite a wholesome relationship.
We went from this:
To this:
And finally ended up with this:
So, I think that depends which series and which part of the series you are referring to. I liked their relationship in a new wish, they're two halves of a whole idiot. ![]()
