Search for SquarePants?

I recently watched it on Paramount Plus and it was absolutely 100% HORRIBLE! !!

The film is a true step back for a storied IP like SpongeBob SquarePants!

Now, this reinforces my strong desire to see this show die

Characters such as SpongeBob and Mr. Krabs said hideous dialogue like:

"Poo-poo pee-pee in my pantsy kind of scared" (SpongeBob SquarePants)

and

"Butts are for toilets!" (Mr. Krabs)

I don't know who Pam Brady and Matt Lieberman are but they have ABSOLUTELY NO BUSINESS writing for SpongeBob!! !

I could tell that the loss of Stephen Hillenburg is beginning to cause real & irreversable damage to the series!

What do you guys think?

That's it, it's time to quit the show completely by utilizing the "KonMari Method" in order to determine if SBSP still continues to serve a purpose for me...

I watch the old shows still online.

We saw it. I don't know what my kid thought of it, but I thought it was at least better than the book. Not quite as good as the previous movies, but it had its moments.
Usually I like reading the books to him, because they skip most of the silliness and stick to the main story, but that left this novelization a bit barebones.

My main disappointment was that, for whatever reason, they replaced Brian Doyle-Murray with Mark Hamill. I was kind of looking forward to seeing him on the "big screen" again.

I don't know about the poll, I don't really watch the show. I know a lot of people say it went downhill after Hillenburg stepped down. My kid usually sees them in random order, but when we do watch them on demand, I think we're on season 4 right now.
