Has anyone ever seen the online cartoon "happy tree friends"?? It is hilarious! It's extremely violent with dark humor. It almost reminds me of an extreme mix of "itchy and scratchy" and "ren and stimpy". Its very funny but not to be viewed by people with weak hearts or weak stomachs.

Great animation, no substance. Comparing this cartoon to Ren & Stimpy is an insult to John Kricfalusi.

I put this on for my kids, they watch all kinds of things ranging from Terminator to South Park etc...

The look of horror on my 4 y.o.'s face was not good so I had a talk to him about it and got HIM to press the stop button.

My 7 year old thought it was a bit funny.

All in all, I don't really think this is good humor. I don't think you could compare it to cartoons like the Flintstones, South Park, The Simpsons... heck, even the smurfs have better stories.

It's sort of, cartoon smut.

(that's not to say that I didn't find it a tiny little bit funny).

HTF is my favorite show! Even though my avatar shows Petunia, my actual favorite character is Flaky. :wink:
