Is anyone else a fan?

My late dad was a big fan of the Shadow, and other pulp action heroes like Doc Savage, the Spider, etc. As a kid, he'd regale me with stories he'd recall from his youth.

It's hard to find anyone younger than say 50 who knows about The Shadow, yet The Shadow was vastly popular. I wish they'd make a netflix series. The 94 movie was okay, but Shadow definitely needs to be made for mature audiences.

Doc Savage is pretty cool too. I've never read The Spider.

My dad had been born in 1921, so he was there for the birth of those characters.

Apparently Bob Kane(creator of Batman) stole a lot of his ideas from The Shadow. There was even a villain entitled "The Grim Joker" years before Batman.

Doesn't surprise me. Even Shakespeare stole ideas from other playwrights of his day.
