You'd be surprised how much money some movie posters sells for these days , a 1932 Frankenstein went for 430k !
King Kong '33 poster sold recently for little over 300k , that's not too shabby price lol
A dealer would charge 5-800$ for the "Two Women" poster I got , 150 bucks = good deal
I'm one of few people in the world who owns Bruce Lee's nunchucks :

cool...maybe my Cloverfield one will be worth a lot years from now. I work at a movie theater so I get some for free.
To be honest it takes time....yrs & yrs unless it's extremely ltd (mint-on-card toys such as Star Wars & He-Man were plentyful back in the day so it took a looooooooooooooooong time for it to grow valuewise....)
I'm not into it just for the money.....but I DO like the really rare ones that not many collectors have......
Sometimes I buy the posters w/o having seen the movie lol
The poster for "Piranha" looks cool , despite it prolly being a Jaws rip-off
My rarest posters :
mid 60s "Dr No" Italy (re-release) 4-sheet (paid 800 euros for it , it's extremely rare & 60s Bond will always be of interest to collector......I don't think people realize just how gigantic a 4-sheet really is lol)
1959 "Some like it Hot" Italy 2sh (tanned & missing pieces but very rare)
1960 "Two Women" Italy 4sh (extremely rare , prolly one of the most beautiful Loren posters out there)
early 80s "Hapkido" Pakistani 1sh
1969 007 OHMSS #B Italy 2sh ("blue ski suit" version was only available in 5-6 European countries , the others used the "tux" style version)
Posters I want :
007 FRWL Italy 2sh (very very difficult to find cheap due to scarcity....)
Jaws Polish 1sh (beautiful !)
Jaws Czech 1sh (this one is bi-zarre : consists of only blue dots , some dots symbolizes the shark & the red dots is of course blood in the water)

I wish I had some older ones but I just started collecting mine since earlier this year when I got the theater job.
I have:
Hitman
I am Legend
Cloverfield
Sweeney Todd
I have smaller ones that customers can get as well:
Stardust (it was ripped a little)
We Own the Night
American Gangster
Bee Movie (I take all of them I can get)
Superhero Movie
Breach
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Hoot (really bad movie)
Juno
and more I can't remember.
I'll be getting these after the movies are out:
The X-files: I Want to Believe
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystall Skull
Speed Racer (I think)
Harry Potter 6, If I still work there
And I'm hoping to get a Dark Knight one.
Caveat emptor as to modern posters : they can be very difficult to authenticate , usually originals are printed on paper that smells of ink.....
Also there are certain US posters that are forged : Star Wars IV , Jaws , Indy , Friday 13th pt 1 , Taxi Driver & others....they originate out of NY & OK ![]()
