MY FAVORITE ERA!! !! I adored Humphrey Bogart when I was just a teenager... I wonder if Marlene Dietrich and Howard Hughes were aspies, both very private people, eccentric in their ways..Also, the 4th Marx Brother, Zeppo...he didn't have the flair, the confidence as his brothers did..do you think any of these actors may have had asperger's?

I came up with the following possiblities:

Marlon Brando
Orson Welles
Peter Sellers
Cary Grant
Gregory Peck
Klaus Kinski
Katherine Hepburn
Greta Garbo
Bette Davis
Joan Crawford
Marlene Dietrich
Tallullah Bankhead
Peter O'Toole

Do you have any actual instances of Aspie behavior from Bogart ? Your admiration for him doesn't prove any Aspieness

Snoopy, Hi again.. I did not say that Humphrey Bogart was an Aspie, I said I adored him when I was a teenager, and those wonderful actors from the 30's and 40's are in a class by themselves..I was born in the wrong decade...:) I did say that perhaps Howard Hughes, Zeppo Marx, and Marlene Dietrich were Aspies, they were quite eccentric , very complex, private, mysterious folks.....Howard Hughes had a phobia about germs, and became quite a recluse in his older years, same as Marlene..she lived in a tiny, cramped apartment in her last years, never leaving the place....

Snoopy, Hi again, apology accepted..:) I just thought of Elizabeth Taylor, what do you think about her? Highly intelligent, spontaneous, quiet, an equestrian, addicted to many things which spun her out of control, do you think she fit in the spectrum? HHmmm...

Your idea is very interesting to me. I'll have to do a little research on her when I get the time. Any ideas why she still associates with Michael Jackson ?

Snoopy, She just came through to me as one who may be on the spectrum...As for Jacko, she feels for the underdog, and those who have suffered so much in their lives( she is very active in the AIDS research)..she sees him as misunderstood, misguided, tormented by his own personal demons, she watched him grow up and turn his life upside down, maybe she feels she owes him support since no one else will walk beside him...Even though she was portrayed as a "sexpot", I don't think she truly was in all of her marriages.. it gave her security to have someone look after her, but with little commitment on her part...she was a child in many ways as well......hhmmm.......How did I do? :)

It was once speculated that director Stanley Kubrick (2001: A Space Odyssey, The Shining, A Clockwork Orange) had AS.

I feel that you're right that she is on the spectrum. Good Job

Chaplin was a silent-era star.
