I am a HUGE fan of Poirot, wonderfully portrayed by David Suchet. The episodes are so fascinating and Poirot is just such a quirk, he reminds me of me (his OCD with neatness).

Any other fans?

Poirot is my all-time favorite fictional character, and I especially like Suchet's interpretation. He makes Poirot both intelligent and kind. We need more real people like that.

I agree, I think Suchet is the best Poirot and we definitely need more eccentrics like Poirot around, the world would make a lot more sense...

I'm quite keen on most fictional detectives but must rate Poirot as one of the greats :)

I once cited him in an essay on backward chain reasoning.

I agree, but prefer Ms. Christie's written word.

I beat you on this topic, Nico! :) :

So yes, I'm a huge fan of Mr. P, and I totally agree he's an Aspie. I'm excited for the upcoming releases of "Cat Among the Pigeons" and "Mrs. McGinty's Dead" in the spring... also there will be a Suchet version of "Murder on the Orient Express". I'm so glad, I don't really like the Finney one that much.
I don't understand why they haven't filmed "Murder in 3 Acts", it's one of my favorites, and one of the earlier ones. Maybe because the murderer's identity is too obvious? I thought it was pretty good though.
Do you have a favorite book/episode?

There's always someone who beats me to it!
My favourite episode at the moment is Hickory Dickory Dock and my favourite book is The Affair at the Victory Ball.
