Dr. House HAS to be an aspie, it fits him perfectly. He has major social issues, is brutally honest when it totally inappropriate, and has no use for proper protocol.

I've seen bits and pieces of it.

I don't really screen TV characters for AS, though.

And he is a loner. Heh. I adore House, the character and the show.

lmao, he is absolutely positively not aspie. He's got the anti-social personality disorder. He's also very cynical. And he is blunt, not because he's ignorant of some social skill, but because of deliberate intent to harm, on the occasion.

I watch.
I don't know if he is AS (they did address this on one episode, I remember), but I bet he'd love being surrounded by nothing but aspies. I like to think he's AS though.

I remember one episode where House said he envied an autistic kid that was one of his patients because the kid didn't have to worry about social niceties.

Avid fan here.

IMO House is neither aspie or anti-social. He's a narcissist with a big ego.

Great series.

I seen the episode with the Autistuc Kid too and the mention of House possibly having Asperger Syndrome. But being a character and never knowing quite enough to give a diagnosis the writers of the show can easily make him Aspie or make him anything they want him to be.

Yes. I find the show very interesting. The thing I like the most about the show is that the main character looks beyond the obvious and never gives up.

Ahh but remember....he never made a tree! LOL

A quote from an episode....
House says..."Are you comparing me to god?...I mean, thats great...but just so you know, i've never made a tree,".

As far as him being an aspie goes...I think he's just extremely egoistic and self centered. Not an aspie.

House is a great show. "Bones" is a different show with a definite aspie lead character.

i love House for a very simple reason...he never changes. he never grows, he never learns, his cranky veneer never cracks, he never shows his heart of gold, he's consistently a miserable cranky bastard who's smarter and better than you and he lets you know it. in the world of television this is close to a revelation.

question though, why does House still come AFTER Bones? why is Bones the lead in? House is one of the highest rated shows in the country. Is Bones even in the running? it makes no sense.

also, Lisa Edelstein (who plays Cuddy) is hot.

I used to watch "House". Not so much any more.

Couldn't say why.

I am a House addict. I get up at 5 to watch an episode before school every morning; that outta say something.

I don't know if he's an Aspie, because there are some circumstances that might cause similar symptoms.

1. In the third season, he says he was abused by his father when he was younger.

2. Vicodin can sometimes cause depression and irritation.

3. Some people suffer from depression because of permanent handicap.
