I thought it was boring. Total waste of time for me. I can't take will smith seriously as an actor either, he is still just the fresh prince to me.

I haven't seen it, but I liked the Vincent Price version and the I Am Legend promotional game in Second Life.

my daughter says it was the worst movie ever, but she did come home with an absolutely fantastic rendition of the aliens! Hilarious!

I had a guy at work tell me over the weekend he took his GF to that movie and said it was terrible, with that said and then reading all your posts I am not even going to bother cause I am afriad I will never get that 2 hrs back if I do see it. So ya, I guess I would say I would not even watch it if it was free.

I just saw it yesterday. It definitely dragged in parts. The thing that upset me the most is how ABSOLUTELY DIFFERENT the ending is when compared with the original book. I understand they have to make some changes to make a more exciting movie, but they literally changed why the book is called "I Am Legend"! I was so mad when I left the theatre.

What was the title of the Vincent Price version?

It's not a terrible movie if you haven't read the book and know how it was originally intended to progress and end.

@Gbollard.

The Price version is older than the Heston version. All of them are predated by the book.

@MrMark

It's called The Last Man on Earth:

It is so cheesy. I heart dairy. *swoons*

Here's a recap of the movie
-there is a virus that killed all humans besides will smith
-there are some vampires running around
-will smith meet a woman and her kid
-will smith gets killed by vampires and gives mom and kid vampire medicine
-mom and kid find more people
Boring. I'm sure the book was good, but movies seriously ruin good books.

Wow, for some reason I'd never heard of it - I've gotta find the price version now.

According to Rotten Tomatoes...

I Am Legend 2007 - 61%
Last Man on Earth 1964 - 82%
The Omega Man 1971 - 62%

If this 92-minute version sucked, then how come it opened at #1 with $75 million?

though rottentomatoes is a great site, but you really have to read into what the reviews really say more than just the percentage.
