I'm wondering if anyone can understand their logic. It shows right after Star Trek Enterprise on Tuesdays, and it's not science fiction. It's sacrilege. I've read and watched stuff written by some of the world's greatest visionaries, only to have my favorite channel polluted by these worthless and likely illiterate boneheads. If they could read then maybe they'd figure out they're on the wrong channel. Are producers just filling gaps for lack of material?

We should get Music Television and (formerly) Tech TV on the case.

If Tech TV is following the same trend, then what is it now? High and Low Tech TV?

I suspect they're just looking at how to bring in more advertising bucks. Other channels stray outside their natural remit for the same reasons.

Grossly overdeveloped mutant characters wearing shiny, bizarre looking costumes shouting and trying to intimidate each other like Klingons at a peace conference, slinging each other about and pounding their chests in ferocious battles in which no amount of violence ever actually results in death, or even (usually) in slight bleeding.

How is that not science fiction? All it needs is some non-existent piece of exotic technology for them to fight over. Admit it, you're just upset that they aren't hacking each other to pieces with lightsabers.

Yes, i've wondered why ECW is on Sci Fi Channel. I remember Sci Fi issued some sort of cop out press release, but it didn't work. And also, compared to the original ECW, this ECW sucks.

Also people keep bringing up TechTV. This is what happened with Tech TV. Paul Allen (the co-founder of Microsoft who owned Tech TV) sold it to video game channel G4 and the two channels merged to G4TechTV and then to just G4TV. Then G4 cancelled every TechTV show but "X-Play" and "Anime Unleashed". Then they laid off the staff. Right now, the only three Tech TV employees still at G4 are: Morgan Webb and Adam Sessler (of "X-Play) and former "X-Play" head writer Blair Butler (who has since become an on-air personality). G4 then slowly morphed from a video game channel to a "Spike" competitor. And the rating went down. The ironic thing is that the only TechTV show left now, "X-Play", is the channel's highest rated non-special programming (the HIGHEST rated program in the history of the channel was the world premiere of "King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters" earlier this year), with "Ninja Warrior" not far behind.

LOL Well I'm sure it at least qualifies as fiction, because it isn't real wrestling. It just seems more like a sport to me. I figured there are hundreds of cable channels with many categories. I would be just as surprised to find Star Trek on a cartoon channel. It just baffles me why other viewers might like to have things disorganized instead of in the expected place. I just change the channel when it happens, or turn off the TV.

I think its to bring in more advertising dollars, since most scifi series are not a big attraction for some of the low brow knuckle dragers out there, they go for something will attract some needed advertising money, so we can watch BSG

Because the sci-fi channel has never been sci-fi. It's been about crappy B-horror movies for a while; wrestling is about on the same level.

Horror, Fantasy and Science Fiction is what they've always covered mainly. But ECW is like 1,000 miles in the other direction from these (except fantasy, but I think you know what I mean).

OH, I'm sorry, I couldn't hear what I was saying over your hideous body odour and the fact that you're incredibly fat and horrifyingly ugly and will never have sex with anyone until a year after you die.

Now that we're done stereotyping, how about you get down off your high horse?

As for why it's on there, I'll tell you why - ratings.

Damn it, I was going to say something similar to that (but funnier) and you beat me to it.

Which stereotype are you referring to here?
