When they always say 'To Be Continued" in the end of a show. Even when the show is getting good.
Like this scene from Transformers Animated:

Does this annoy anybody else besides me?

it annoys me because I almost never get to see the 2nd part. or I see the 2nd part and only the "snipets" from the first part, but never actually see the first part.

Often I can see a cliffhanger coming a mile off. Most TV shows are in the 1-hour format, and by watching the time you can usually guess it's TBC.

And btw a TBC that kinda makes you mad is a sure sign that the writers / producers have done their job by leaving you wanting more.

Star Trek used to do that; part 1 was the finale, and you had to wait 3 months to see part Two.

Kinda of like the end of a best-seller's chapter...

...and the reason why that used to annoy me was that they didn't write both episodes in one go. They created an impossible situation to use as a cliffhanger, and the way it was resolved in Part 2 was usually a cheap cop-out. (Kind of like The Matrix Revolutions.)

watch last night an episode of the stargate Atlantis ; that was called adrifft (second episode of fourth season) and it was the second part of third episode .and it has 'to be continued' at the end

* never watch heroes , because they always have to be continyed at the end
* never watch BSG : because it is also a series that followes the other

that is what people call clifhangers

The episode title, which appeared at the start right after the opening titles, was "Megatron Rising - Part 1".

It shouldn't have come as a surprise or shock.
