Does anybody remember this tv show from the early 1990's?

If so, I heard it was about Autism or how people with Asperger Syndrome behave. Is this true, or is it just a Rumor?

Plus I saw the show on TV land last night and was confused about what it had to with Autism or Asperger Syndrome.

Am I overreating to this? What do ya'all think about this show?

It portrayed the family as being "from another planet", which is how we're often described.

The family are meant to be aliens. It's just meant to be funny. I think if they'd been autistics then it'd have been off the air after one episode due to political incorrectness and such.

It's an underrated, very, funny show, though.

I personally liked the show myself. I can see how one might associate it with As, but I dont believe that was ever the intention, although, I could be wrong. I confess I never did any research on the background of the show, so as far as I am aware it was not aimed at, nor intended to mimic AS in any way.
