Does anyone know if its supposed to tie directly into the continuity of the 1st four movies?

((unlike Batman Begins which was a 'restart' of the series))

okay, I read that this is supposed to take place after Superman 2, but before Superman 3... so I guess I don't have to watch Supes 3 & 4 which is good cos they're supposed to be awful anyway
