Doomsday Preppers, Vanished! What Happened?

Tonight, at 9:00, the show Doomsday Preppers was supposed to release its second season. It did'nt happen. All reference to a second season has vanished. I have spent the last half hour researching and looking for any mention, but there is none. Someone in my family even went so far as to call into the DirectTv, and you know what happened? According to the person she spoke to, the show Doomsday Preppers does not exist.
And according to them, it never has.
I am not too much of a conspiracy person, but this is a little odd. Doomsday Preppers is a fascinating series and I enjoy it for many reasons, but according to some of the people I talked to, and some of the articles I have read in the past and this night, the goverment is against it. Could someone in the goverment have had the entire program taken down, because it promotes independence and "Off the Grid" alternatives?
I sort of hope someone on this site might know something, or maybe be curious enough to look into it, since I lack the skills to do so myself.
Any information would be appreciated, and any speculation, as long as it is not insulting, would be welcome also.

I had enough curiosity to give it a quick glance, but never enough to watch the show. Shows like that are skewed to draw in as many viewers as possible, so that alone turns me off from wanting to take the time to be entertained by it.

The only obvious information I found is that Doomsday Preppers got the highest ratings. Given that the media is as competitive as it is, only those intimately involved with the production of the show know the real reason why it's no longer on. If the government is to be blamed, we certainly wouldn't be told. If I had to take a wild guess as to what happened, it would be related to money. People are greedy, so it's plausible there are disputes over salaries. Besides that, pending lawsuits could be another factor.

faithfilly; Thanks for the reply. I posted this mostly for te benefit of someone dear to me, but also out of curiousity myself. Money and lawsuits are both very plausible and much better than government interference. Thanks :D

You've simply misunderstood. They just barely finished wrapping up for the first season. They have barely even begun filming for the 2nd season. Last week was their "season finale" essentially. As such, I wouldn't expect to see them back on until the middle of the summer or when the new shows typically begin in the fall. The only thing for sure at this point about a 2nd season is the National Geographic has purchased the production for a 2nd season. There's nothing wrong with conspiracy theories, but in this case, it was indeed just a theory. :lol:
