I'd watch it more if they'd actually teach me about historical events, rather than just exploring World War II from every possible angle and speculate about religion. And you know they're running out of ideas at Modern Marvels when they do an episode on insulation.

I've kind of worn it out. I've seen most of the shows and it's been a while since something truly interesting and different aired. :?

I can agree with that. Most shows I like have become re-run after re-run. Hardly ever see anything new and exciting anymore.

My father is addicted to the History Channel. And about 60% of the time, they seem to have stuff on about Hitler. It gets really monotonous and old after a while, unless, of course, you're an aspie whose special interest happens to be to stuff related to World War II. Once in a while, they come on with something else.

I watch very little television other than about three hours at primetime as well as movies, watching up to one a day. I otherwise research stuff on the computer, or do other things that I need to get done.

I used to watch the History channel all the time. I must agree that they overdo it with the WWII stuff, or they did when I watched it. They did start to do some other stuff like the history of the Czars. I haven't watched much much at all lately. Alot of times I flip it on and they are doing alien abduction marathons or asteroid impact stuff. Not my kind of stuff (or any more, when I was a kid I liked that kind of thing). I get my history through reading now.

I like Modern Marvels, but I've seen virtually every episode. My favorite ones were the ones they did on engineering disasters.

I saw an ad for a show asking what would happen if a tsunami hit the East Coast of North America. Apparently, the future is now history.

It is kind of funny that the future is the topic of a lot of shows on the history channel...hah.

I used to very much hooked to it, although now I only watch the ocassional good programs, produced generally by the BBC. I find some of their biographes and history documentries sort of lame.

I have to admittt that some of their shows can get a bit monotonus after they have re-run them a bizillion times, but I do enjoy Modern Marvels, Wild West Tech, History's Mysteries and that one about engineering disasters (whatever it's called). The History Channel saves me from the horror of reality TV.

I dont really like it as its mostly repeats and studies of WWII tactics... my kind of history, Ancient Greek, Roman, Atlantis mythology... just arent shown on there.
