This is driving me mad ! !

I used to love watching a weekly drama series on ITV many years ago - maybe over 20 years.

It was a drama series with a little comedyand based around a large /extended family ( based in London maybe )

All I really remember about it was that one of the best characters was giant bloke about 6 foot 6 inches tall .

I keep having flashbacks about the series which has NEVER been repeated as far as I know.

Anyways , I was skipping through SKY last night and watched a couple minutes of Wycliffe detective series and the BIG bloke I just mentioned was in that episode playing a uniformed cop /bobby/ policeman

Possibly "Westbeach"? I'm imdb-ing right now...and most of the actors weren't in much in the 80s. Or weren't in any series back then. That's the closest I can find based on the limited info, and not knowing which one of the actors was tall/looked like, ya may wanna take a look at the imdb.com for Wycliffe yourself?

That was the first thing I did funnily enough

I checked on all the actors in Wycliffe but most didn't have photos but when I checked on each actor's profile showing what they had done in the past ...nothing really HIT ME !

Maybe it's not a complete list of wyclife actors.

I have found the name of the actor I mentioned above - Michael Attwell - sadly died recently .

Still don't know the name of the series.
