I wish I had it, though.

I have it! It is ok, you do not have to turn to the guide channel and wait for the channel you are looking for to come up. It is useful, and I also love watching the Science Channel, so I need digital cable for that ;)

No attenna. You can look at the TV guide on TV instead of going to a guide channel and seeing what is on TV. you just hit the "Guide" button and it shows what's on TV. You can put in the channel number to see what's on that channel and it will take you there. Also there are channels on there you will not find on cable like Toon Disney, more than one Disney channel and more than one Nick channel.

It's cool. In the US, you essentially have to have a Digital box by 2009. Anyway, there's more channels (like 100 or so, along with all the HBOs and Showtimes, and a bunch of radio channels that play a certain genre), there's also OnDemand where you can watch certain TV shows and music videos whenever you want to.

My favorite channels on there are BBC America, MTVu (which skews more towards indie rock and only plays music videos) and History Channel International. And we have that guide thing that you can check to see what's on and even have it so if you want to watch a certain TV show you can have it so it turns the channel to the channel it's on the second the show comes on, and you have it so it does it every week.

Actually, my cable provider no longer provides non Digital Cable boxes. You can only get a digital cable box (but you can chose whether to get only basic cable - the first 80 or so channels or the digital package. but everything under channel 25 (which only includes three cable channels - QVC, Discovery Channel and AMC) is free or Digital Cable, or Digital Cable Plus which includes all the music and movie channels or to add on the HD channels)

I have it since a couple of months. The picture is sharper (more clear) and you can repeat programmes that were on the day before ("on demand"). Also it includes a lot of nice digital radion stations with my favourite music and without any adverts!
And I can now play the sound of the TV over my hifi set which is nice for concerts and movies.
I didn't get the extra channels because they make you pay more and I don't watch most of those commercial tv-stations anyhow.
