I've just watched Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses and The Devils Rejects for the first time and both films totally blew me away. I know Zombie has also made a remake of Halloween but don't know whether or not to seek it out, as I haven't been impressed by any of the other remakes of classic horror films that have been released over the past few years.

Have any other members seen it and can they tell me if Zombie simply rehashes an older movie or does he do something different with the material and make it his own?

and either way is it worth seeing?

While I have not seen it after reading a review I wouldn't want too. Women get killed constantly and most are topless and Mike Myers was beat/cussed at/called gay etc. (basically they gave him Psychological trauma stuff!! !) I don't care about him having Psychological issues he's a cold BLOODED KILLER DON'T GIVE HIM PSYCHOLOGICAL REASONING TO WHY HE'S A KILLER!! !! ! Plus from what I've read the aspect of killing women is over done. :-) That's my opinion from reading a review and being a huge fan of the original. :-) (Which I watch every Halloween plus my neighboorhood has a party that has the theme going ALL DAY LONG!! !!)

I've seen House of 1000 Corpses and wasn't all that impressed. But if you liked both of them, you'll probably like the new one. Go for it.

Zeldapsychology,
Every halloween your neighbourhood hold a party playing the theme from the original Halloween movie ALL DAY LONG!! ! That IS cool

Halloween seems such a massive deal in the States, it ain't fair. Everyone seems to have huge halloween parties and stuff, family get-togethers and s**t. In the UK you'd hardly know it even existed.

Not a neighboorhood party so to speak but a house across on the other street you can hear the theme playing ALL DAY LONG! I LOVE IT!
