I've noticed that Characters that I relate to in TV shows/Video Games Have a Weird little Tendency, or Formula, if you will.

Dr. Cid (FFXII): The witty, self-idolizing Scientist - Killed by his own actions/fight with his son

Kabuto (Naruto): Medic Ninja, Spy, emotionally cold, ruthless and tactical ninja. - Absorbs Orichimaru's remains and goes insane.

L (Death Note): Super genious, almost in the sense of a hermit, but acts "weird" - Assassinated by the Death Note

Lelouche Vi Brittania (Code Geass): Genious, Charismatic prince of Brittania who conquers the world with the aid of his Geass. - Orders his own Assassination to "unite the world in peace"

Kurtis (Disgaea- Hour of Darkness): Cyborg human obsessed on becoming the Defender of Earth after Cpt. Gordon fails to save his family - Commits suicide to save Jennifer, Cpt. Gordan's Sidekick

Pattern starting to Form? In just about every show or game that there is a character I relate with a lot, they end up Dying or going Insane... Should I be worried?

Well, you never know what the future holds. No one knows for sure if you are going to lose your mind or get killed. However, we are all bound to die someday. I think it's the fear of not knowing when and how that scares people. But you should not worry about your own future based on those of your favorite characters.

Well, fiction and reality are quite dissimilar. That which happens in fiction is unlikely to be the outcome of similar circumstances in real life. That said, I promise that you are going to end up dead at some point. If dying is something that scares you, then you should be scared because you're not going to avoid it. Insanity is unlikely, especially if you are concerned that you may end up going insane. Something about wondering if reality is real tends to stave off unreality seeming real.

I like weird characters too. Hey lets think of some who DON'T die or go insane... I've got two: Stork from Storm Hawks (he has manic episodes not permanent madness) and Adrian Monk from... Monk. Well, I suppose he's not THAT mad...

Yeah I totally relate to all the 'weird' characters as well. It's not reality so don't worry. (sometimes I wish it was!)
