There doesn't seem to be a section for novels, so the closest fit is here or the video game section, so anyway...
I'm only part way through book 4, so PLEASE don't spoil anything
(Possibly this post will have very mild spoilers)
A friend and I have two completely different takes on this, and I'm just wanting some feedback-maybe I've got it all wrong.
She says that Rosalie hates Bella-I may not have her words right, but she says something to the effect that she's jealous of her, hates her, and is "bitchy"...something along those lines.
I *never* got that impression (at least through 200 pages in to book 4). To me, Rosalie seems reserved, was just genuinely scared for her family, and then genuinely didn't want Bella to make what she considers a huge mistake. She even pretty much flat out SAYS all that in book 3, and when she finally expresses herself to Bella, it sounds exactly along the lines of what I thought was causing her reactions.
I'm not getting where she thinks that Rosalie hates Bella, but she's totally adamant about it, and says I just don't get it because I'm a guy.
Am I totally screwed up about this? I really see Rosalie as a good person-being reserved, or thinking Bella's making a mistake doesn't make her bad. The only indication I get is just every book Bella introduces Rosalie with something like "This is Rosalie, she hates me"...but to me that's just Bella THINKING she hates her.
Really curious if everyone else thinks the same thing my friend does, or if my interpretation can be valid too!
